Successful assignment in Malaysia
PMC Rail assisted in putting a tamping simulator into operation in Malaysia. TWA (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has rented the simulator for internal training purposes on a long-term basis.
Plasser & Theurer’s tamping simulator 09-3D was recently sent to Malaysia, where it will be available to TWA to train their staff under realistic conditions. To assist the Malayan company, trainers of TWA visited PMC Rail’s training centre in Bingen. Based on the principle “train the trainer”, they were successfully coached in the theoretical foundations and practical use of the stationary PMC Rail simulators.
One of the PMC Rail trainers, Dirk Schmidt, subsequently spent two weeks in Malaysia to assist TWA in putting the simulator into service at their facilities and to continue the practical coaching of the company trainers.
This successful assignment in Malaysia forms the basis for a long-term business relationship. PMC Rail is looking forward to a sustained close cooperation with TWA, as part of which further staff of the company will be visiting the training centre in Bingen in the near future.
